How to protect Remote Desktop using Evo Security (RDP Support)

There are 2 ways to use the Evo Credential Provider with Remote Desktop:

Using the Evo Credential Provider to protect remote hosts

Install the Evo Credential Provider on the host (the host could be PC, server or RD Gateway). When a client tries to connect to the host, the host will ask for Evo credentials to login. Users can approve the push to login. If you're an IT Admin and want to use elevated access, you just simply Deny and then proceed with the Elevated Access just like you do with regular PC login.

Using Evo Elevated Access to connect to remote host

This method is mostly used for IT admins who want to connect to remote hosts with an Elevated Access account. It requires Elevated Access and Domain Account setup on the Evo portal before continuing.

  1. Open the Remote Desktop Connection app with admin privileges. If your account doesn't have admin privileges, you can use Elevated Access checkbox to gain admin access to your RDP. Otherwise, RDP Elevated Access feature will not show up.
  1. Enter your remote host name or IP address -> Connect.
