How do I manage my user licenses? (Billing and Administration)

There are 4 types of licenses with Evo. A user license determines if the user can use Evo; whether it's logging into the Portal, Web App or Endpoint protected by Evo. Each user must have at least one license.

  • Secure Login License: Required for any user who will authenticate using Evo.
  • Elevated Access License: Required for users who need Elevated Access capabilities. This license includes Secure Login functionality, so there is no need to assign both licenses separately to the same user.
  • Evo End User Elevation: Required for devices which will be initiating End User Elevation requests.
  • Evo Help Desk Verification: Required for users who may need to verify their identity when contacting support.

From the Licensing & Billing tab within the Evo Admin portal, you can view the status of your licenses, including those that are Purchased, Allocated, Available, and Assigned.

This page also allows you to enable the Auto Expand License Pool option, which will automatically purchase additional licenses as new users or endpoints are added to your tenants.

How to Purchase Additional Licenses

If the number of users exceeds the available licenses, additional licenses can be purchased at any time. This action should be performed by an administrator with access to the Licensing & Billing section.

To purchase more licenses, navigate to the Licensing & Billing tab within the Evo Admin portal and click on “Purchase Licenses.”

Auto-Apply Licenses

Once licenses have been allocated to the tenant, they can be automatically assigned from the available pool.

Additionally, specific license types can be set as fixed to prevent automatic expansion beyond the desired allocation.

Directly Apply Licenses

Instead of Auto-Apply you can also directly apply licenses to users.

You can do so by going to your desired tenant > users > selecting desired user > view full profile From here you will see license toggles where you can directly apply your newly acquired licenses.

Applying End User Elevation (EUE) Licenses

We recommend keeping EUE licensing set to Auto-Apply to ensure licenses are automatically assigned as new endpoints are added, eliminating the need for manual intervention.

However, if you need to manually assign an EUE license to a specific endpoint, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the appropriate Tenant
  1. Go to Endpoints > Desktop
  1. Select the desired endpoint
  1. Click “Assign EUE License”

What is the Billing Frequency?

Once you subscribe, you’ll be charged based on the number of user licenses you have purchased, including add-on licenses.

Billing occurs monthly. If you adjust your licenses during the month, we will keep track of the adjustments and prorate the next month’s bill accordingly.
